About us

School at Sea started as a dream. Director Monique Touw is a former captain and has experience sailing tall ships. She saw firsthand how long ocean voyages influence the personal growth of young people in a positive way. Encouraged by the positive results of similar project from other countries, she realised her dream in 2011. School at Sea was born.
